ive lost. cousin shot 2 high. searched for 3 hours less than 10ndrops of tiny droplets. no blood on arrow. hit fat and back muscle.

Hey at least you took him bear hunting and he does have a story about an encounter with a bear.  Too bad he didn't get him but doesn't sound like the bear is hurt too bad and will be just fine.  SO as an optimist it was a fun hunt.  Better than not seeing a bear at all.  Good for you for taking him hunting!!   :happy1: :happy1:

It's always a tough deal to lose a wounded animal.  You did your best to recover the bear but it they are not hit with a fatal shot, they could go many miles.  My brother and I searched for an hour before finding it 40 yards from my stand.  That's what thick brush, high ferns and ground cover can do.  Sorry you didn't get it.
