These Epic Kill Shots Will Make You Want to Try Bowhunting Groundhogs

by Micah Sargent

Bowhunting groundhogs looks like a whole lot of fun -- unless you're a groundhog.
What do you do to keep your shooting in shape during the off-season? These guys stay dialed in by bowhunting groundhogs and it looks like a lot of fun.

Watch the video to see if this is an off-season pastime you'd like to try.

Whether you hit the 3-D range, have a backyard shooting competition with your buddies, or head out bowhunting groundhogs, off-season practice will ensure that you are ready for action when you're chasing big game this fall.

Aside from the keeping your shooting in shape, chasing whistlepigs with a bow also helps improve your spotting and stalking abilities. Plus it's a great reason to get out and enjoy a day in field when other hunting seasons are closed.

What are you waiting for? Grab your bow, screw in some small game heads, and do your local farmer a favor by getting rid of some pesky groundhogs. Who knows? You might even gain permission to hunt something a little larger.
