sure.......dont want to be fined for anything as far as breaking a law or jailed. not giving the government more of my cash than they already take. also i would think confinement would definetely put a huge crimp in my lifestyle......... that alone keeps me from wantring to break a law. do i spped now and then.....

ethiclly........i think i got brought up right. did i do some dumb things younger that wasnt ethical........probably. now i try to look at things as if i want it done to me or if it makes sense. hope this makes sense, kinda stumped right now to explain further......

take hunting of fishing for example..............trash.........drives me nuts to see garbage laying on an access or in the woods........not at all ethical in my point of view......every trip to the cabin i bring more recycling and garbage home than i made myself, most times!

I agree with Glenn.  Most Laws are made out of societies Ethics.  And since we as a societies has lost most or our ethics.  Most of our Laws are under attack and being changed and canceled everyday!

I agree with Glenn.  Most Laws are made out of societies Ethics.  And since we as a societies has lost most or our ethics.  Most of our Laws are under attack and being changed and canceled everyday!

leech says it pretty well. most laws are based around what i would determine as common sense and ethics...... to the vast majority of people anyway.

i still believe your ethics are ingrained into you based on how your are raised.....although there are exceptions to everything.

trick question.........had to think about it a bit.....depends on the critter.........a legal game animal.....call the DNR or police....if they cant come for several hours they will tell you what you can do. in the event it was a deer per say.......i'd ask permission for possesion!!!!!!

if its not a game animal. i'd put it out of its misery!!!!!!! and call boar!!!!!!!

I'll give you a true story...
Last year opening day of rifle season, I was sitting in my stand watching a small buck and a doe chasing around my stand. I heard a shot on the other side of the road, and I could clearly see a small fawn struggle to get across the road into my hay field. It drug it's ass to the edge of the woods where I was sitting. It wasn't going to make it long, as I could see it having trouble. I waited for a 1/2 hour for the neighbor to come and collect his prize. He never showed up...the fawns head kept flopping around as if trying to get it's bearings...I couldn't take it, so I put it out of its misery....I then went and brought the deer over to the neighbor, who was still sitting in the stand. He didn't deny that he shot, but also claimed that he would never shoot a fawn. I showed him the spot of impact and the blood trail all the way to my woods. He still denied that it was his deer. The more I talked to him, the more pissed I got... so I had to walk away. This fawn only stretched across a 4 wheeler, that's how small it was. Anyways, I wasn't going to bicker about it. I tagged it with my primary tag (which meant I was done hunting) then I called the CO. I told them the whole story, and they said that they have had trouble with them before and would pay a visit to them... anyways, the DNR issued me a new tag.
I felt like I did the right thing, but I felt like crap at the time.

If it was going to die forsure. I'd kill it and call in a dead animal location.
Now there are some stipulations with that for if it was in the city or country.  If it was a big game or a dog. If it was a cat or rodent, I would put it out of its misery and walk away! 😉

The one situation that pisses me of but understand it and obey it, it the slot limit on fish. Law say any fish between set inches must immedeatly go back. So you catch said slot fish and it gill hooked and bleeding like a sive. Gona die. Ethics say keep the fish. Law and pocket book say fish go back and go belly up! Dammed if you dammed if you dont..

Yep, I agree with that too. And I can see the other side too. If you could keep them if they were going to die people would purpose rip the gills out and claim they were going to die. Like you said dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.
