Nice thing about checking the ice this way is you can play Pacman on your way back after the bar goes through. Stay safe everyone. I am excited to get the bar smacking into some ice.

I use to be one of those guys who just had to be one of the 1st guys out there. Not these days. I guess they are correct that with Age comes wisdom. The idea of the Fat guy going 1st now explains why so many of my skinner friends always called me to go with during early ice and stopped calling as it got thicker :scratch: Be safe out there. No fish is worth your life.

Same here.  What we used to drive our trucks out on Ottertail Lake I wouldn't even consider now.  We caught fish but!
