I haven't fished it yet this winter Cockdie..will let you know if I hear anything.  Maybe, this might help you out a little bit..
Isle/Onamia
On east edge of Lake Mille Lacs, some perch are being taken from the bays on jigs and minnows worked over 12-16 feet of water. While ice depths vary on the main lake, ATVs and snowmobiles have been safe options in most areas. A few more walleyes are being taken during low-light hours from areas such as the Graveyard, Malone Island, The Boot, and Banana Flat. On the western edge of the lake, the 18-22 foot break of St. Alban’s Bay is giving up an few walleyes early and late in the day. Snowmobiles are traveling to the flats, and some walleye action is reported in depths of 22-28 feet on the Seven and Eight Mile flats. For the most fish, work the tops of the mud during low-light periods, and slide off the edges during midday hours.

Thanks a bunch Spinny...I don't like to see that kind of stuff here either!  I'm not a prude, but there is no reason to have stuff like that on an open forum.  Thanks again!  gg

You may find some info in the reports.

I have not been up there yet this year but heard that there were some vehicles out on the lake recently....I know that I would not drive yet but with this latest cold snap we have had i'm sure they are making ice and maybe it is safe??!!

Anyone else know anything???

While we're still talking about Fisherman's Wharf....has anybody rented the ice houses from this resort before? What's your opinion? The houses look pretty swank! We usually used Dickie's in the past (now Anglers Paradise I believe). He ran a good service, but his houses were a little left to be desired.

Thanks for the update there Mikey! Sounds as if the fish have been biting well lately on Mille Lacs according to the fishing reports. Hope the fish are still as frisky in a few weeks when we are there. ;) How are the eelpout biting???

My buddies rented one of there big shacks last year and I have to say it was one of the nicer rentals I have been in they rented again this year. They even won the honda generator they had at there fishing contest when they were up last year.
Lakeside has been closed for years most of there houses went to Hunters point and a few other neighboring resorts
