you have about 5 minutes of legal shooting light left and this buck comes into the group of does, they are feeding in the field in front of you at about 100 yards, do you shoot or pass

I take the shot for sure as long as i can see well enough. 100 yards broadside with some light left, not a problem.  :happy1:

It looks more like a doe walked into a group of bucks.  If you are shooting the one on the left I don't think that would be a problem.  The one on the right would be a questionable shot.

Hitting and killing the deer isn't the issue here.  I think the problem is the background.  Your bullet would be travelling quite far and without knowing what's there it could be risky.

I'm with DE, I'd have to know what is behind the deer.

But, yes the shot is doable, assuming your talking about the deer in the middle of the pic.
The other, you (me) would have to wait till it clears the post (or at least I would) If it didn't move in the alotted time, he would walk.
