  • The brothers with my 2006 buck.
I have started scouting. Found a few hundered, but not in the same place. Never useing a field more than 1-2 nights in a row. It is enough to drive a guy bonkers. I think I will just golf and bring my shootgun. They are on the golf corse every night... makes sence to me! I am however getting extreemly jacked up tro be back out in the field. I have butterflies as I type!  ;D
Find a bird Duke... find a bird... ROOSTER!!! BANG! Bring it here boy. GOOD BOY DUKE, GOOD BOY!!!

You sound like my boy...He is so jacked up to shoot some geese!
Wednesday night, he shot over 100 rounds shooting clay pigeons... :fudd:
He ain't shot all summer, now his shoulder is a little black and blue. (he's 10)
But he's still pumped to go!  :rocker;

I always have good intentions but it's hard to get out.  I usually have the shotgun with me when I'm working on my land.  Of course it is usually not nearby when they fly over. :fudd:

I've only been canadian honker hunting a couple of times, but they were a blast.

My friend runs a goose guiding service down here in Rochester, and he usually offers a bunch of us an ammo cost only hunt at the end of the season when he starts slowing down.

It's definately a rush that I will never forget having the geese start descending into the field, and everyone blasting the hatches open and knocking 'em down.
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

I got a few things lined up. Can't wait till Sat!
Where I'm from calling, flagging and decoying are just basic skills and the kids will do a little guiding just to pay off some bills.
