I bought a 14' Lund boat over the 4th of July (while we were in MN at URL).  I bought it from my uncle and aunt.  I wasn't able to bring it home that weekend.  We didn't have a hitch on the mini van.  My folks brought it to their house and they are meeting me in Sioux Falls tomorrow night with the boat.  So, I will finally get my boat and be able to do some fishing (away from shore).  My two boys are very excited!  The rest of the summer will involve a ton of fishing.   :happy1:

Dennis just experienced one of the two happiest days in a boat owners life - The day he bought his boat.  The other is the day he sells the boat.   :rotflmao:
Congrats on your purchase and we wait for picures of it and the fish you and your kids catch out of it.

A new boat! Aww what fond memories..   :happy1: I remember when the Puddle Humper was just a young lass. Clean, no dents, Shinny decals and no scratches.  Gages that all worked and carpet so clean walking bare foot was a treat. Seats that had cush for the tush and speed to burn... Congrats on the new boat ! Now you will be able to get out a little farther, a little deeper and the kids will soon smash potato chips and spill pop in her...    Then she will be a fishing boat.  :fishing:  Now you just got to name her!!  :doah:

Im with Bobby -- you gotta name her.  I named mine after my Grandma who was one of the first people to take me fishing.

Have fun and do yourself a favor by buying a spare plug.  Oh the fear!!

Congrats on the new toy. Hope you get to use it as much as I use mine. I have a one boat garage and none of my cars have ever spent one night in the garage.

Don has great advice with the plug.  In 1998 I got a brand new boat and I was excited to get out up north with it.  I got 2 hours north and the plug was gone (it hung from the back).  It was a screw in plug and I had a heck of a time finding a new plug.  It almost screwed up my whole weekend.   :fishing:

Funny thing about a boat plug, I have an extra one in the tool bag, been 20 years and it has never gotten wet, but you know the first time I forget that tool bag I will need it... and that is just the way it is..

We got back late last night.  Here are the pictures of the 14 ft Lund and the 10 horse Honda.  We are taking it out tomorrow morning to test it out.

looks alot like my first boat...... i often wish i still had her.  there is nothing there to have a problem with.  i have learned the more toys and gadgets you have on your boat, the more issues that will invetiably come up (but i still cant resist them).

congrats!
