Walleye have become pretty scarce, not to say the intrepid fisherpeople cannot find them at dusk and dawn.  They occasionally come in on the sunnies that are feeding around 12’ by weedlines, East Lake seeing the most sunny action, but people were going out to Little Lake this week to scope out the activity, no reports yet.  Crappies 6-10’ off the bottom in the 32-40 foot holes.  Pike mostly on the north end bays, does not seem to matter what time of day, on suckers.  Looking to see a lot of action this weekend with the weather changing..

north of the west access, about 10 feet for pike, but there have been some near Cigar and Wilson in the shallower depths..they have a couple pictures down at the store of big northern, but we have not perfected transferring over the web site to that computer without crashing the site..so pics are a little slow in coming!

I do believe Rush has a slot for pike. 24-36 have to go back or something like that.

I just checked the regs online and you are correct 24-36 inch need to be released one over 36 in posession.  All muskies have to be at least 48" as well.

The ice is all good on the main lake portions just do not pass through the skinny passages between islands.  Especially the one directly out and to the left of the access.  I would go with tip ups and shiners for pike if you can find shiners that is.  I always like a plain chartruese hook.

Yeah you would drive straight out from the access and hook around all the houses on the east side of cigar and you will be smooth sailing!

I would go around the east end of cigar to travel north, and you will be fine.
Don't drive between Braham island and cigar, because of the rocks (someone always gets stuck, don't want it to be you) and thin ice.

Make sure you have 4 wheel drive, the top layer of snow is crusty, but there is powder under it and makes it hard to travel if not carefull.

Yep, and you guy's are right about the slot for pike.

There are a couple rock piles north of cigar.
But the rest of it is mostly mud, and some sand.

I myself, would head north into the bay that is west of Fansen park (Patterson, for us locals)

We should do a GTG on Rush! That would be a blast!

Stensethfan and I had a ball out there last week look at the pics of my better halfs northern...Yes it was a fluke but it was hilarious.  That Northern was traveling in a 30ft foot hole about 5 or 6 ft off the bottom...So ya never know.

:tequila; Line it up guys I like the get together Idea. I think it would be fun :drinking:

Yep, I have and have done well when I went.

I haven't pike fished as much as I would have liked this winter, but when I go, this is where I go.

(I got some other spots, but I can't give up all my secrets)  :rotflmao:
