Has anyone else been out this week/weekend for Fall Turkey opener?

Let's hear some reports on how things are going in the woods/fields this week.   :happy1:

I went out this past week and it was a total bust.  :(  Was my first Fall Turkey hunt and I'm walking away from it a little disappointed.  Didn't see anything, didn't hear anything, no signs anything  was even there except for deer.

I hunted this same land (195 acres of woods and farm land my family owns) last spring and there was a plethora of turkeys around.

Think I'll stick to the spring seasons from here on out!

yeah, i am sticking to spring.  too much deer and duck hunting to be done in the fall.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

Sorry to hear your first Fall hunt was a bust Synic!

How many Spring hunts have you been out on?

This was my first Fall hunt too, and I think although I harvested a turkey during the Fall season and not in the Spring season, I preferred the Spring season hunting. I really got a charge out of hearing those Tom's gobbling back at my calls.

I would like to fall hunt turkeys...just don't have the time.
Between farming and everything else to hunt in the fall, I'll have to stick to spring time.

Unless your inviting me Scott?  ;D

If you have some free time next fall Hunter, you get ahold of me and we'll see what we can work out. That could be fun!  ;)
