A picture would help to see what it looks like, and any other info that is on the gun minus the serial number if it has one.

Back in the late 1800's and early 1900's many little gun manufactures popped up selling guns that were actually made by larger brands like O.F Mossberg, Winchester and such.

They would order them up with no markings and stamp thier own or in some cases the big bo would stamp the little guys name brand on it for them.

Also a few popped up and out right ripped off the designs and made thier guns just like the big manufactures.

If you see Gramps on line here he would probably know about it.

Yep, Benny is right......

I bought my first pump shot gun from a coast to coast store....says right on the side, with some nice engravings.
But the original manufacturer is Mossberg.

Check out some of the big box stores, Gander, Cabelas, etc.  They may lead you in the right direction.  For example, I have a 20 gauge pump action made for Sears and Roebuck Co.  It's the Ted Williams edition and that's all I know about it.

Good luck.

It's possible this was manufactured by Crescent Fire Arms Co.  Crescent arms were in business from 1888 to 1929. Crescent Fire Arms Company remains best known as a manufacturer of "house brand" shotguns (i.e., Crescent private labeled guns for retailers, distributors, mail-order houses, etc.).  They were known for making house brand firearms. They made almost 100 different (labels or names) of the same gun. They would make guns for anyone with any name they wanted on it.  Most of the remaining specimens today are priced as shooters.  Probably should not be fired with modern day ammo.

Yea i did not plan to shoot the gun i bought it because it was cheap at an auction and it said St. Paul arms Co.  so i thought it was cool my father built the stock for it because there was none and it looked like it had been used as a post maul lots of dents but still cool in my opinion

I agree with Joe Fisherman, this is made by Cresent Arms Co.  They were known for making guns for hardware stores and hundreds (approx 300) of other small outlets.  They were built well and viewed mostly as utility guns.  You may want to have it checked by a gunsmith for your own piece of mind, but they are fine with today's standard loads.
