Jesse Williams, 22640 Hwy 6 N (218-546-6912) There are still a few walleyes coming from Serpent and Pelican; many of the better fish are coming from the weed edges in 15-20 FOW, with Lindy Slick Jigs and Rattl’n Flyer Spoons tipped with a fathead producing the best results jigging and rainbows being best on setlines. Crappie action has been good in the area with Mahnomen, Black Bear, Bay and Nokay all producing during low-light periods and Milford, Cedar and Upper Dean kicking out fish throughout the day. Glow jigs are a must in either a red or chartreuse glow tipped with a crappie minnow. Sunfish action can be found on Milford, Greer, Mahnomen, Little Rabbit and Clinker throughout the day on Fatboys or Diamond Jigs tipped with a waxie or eurolarvae. Pike action is hot right now just about everywhere but lakes to look at would include Black Bear, Little Black Hoof and Island with large suckers.
