So the Count Down Begins
 :happybounce: Just alittle over a month and I will be back in the USA.  :USA: :USA: :USA:
Havent had much time to get on and see how things are going on MNO but from what I here from home is this winter has been a nasty one for Ice fishing. I took a look at the IFC Threads and its looking good guys.  I am extremely jealous. I should be back in MN for Fishing opener so thats a plus. 1st year in 4 years that the military hasnt held me back from opener. Hope you guys have a nice non sandy, cold day.  (Sand and the heat suck)   ;D

Do guys in the military still have a "short timers chain" or something to that effect?  As my Navy enlistment came to a close, I had a short timers chain that I would take a like off every day.  Of course, Navy = Chain makes sense but I wonder what if anything the other branches use.

No short timers chain deadeye... there are days I dont feel like doing anything.  ;)
Lentz Dont know if this is gonna be my last tour but I would suspect 1 more if we get into anyother wars or even a possibility of going to afghanistan but thats gonna be atleast 2 years from now. I just signed another 6 year of my life to the army so in 2018 I will be at 12 years of service.  Thats more than enough time for another 1 or 2 Deployments in the guard.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

Once you make it to 12 years you might as well sign for the next 8 and go for the pension.
I just started getting mine after 21+ years in the guards.
Had to wait another 21 to collect but it do make a difference.

Glad you are able to still come home and fish.

Thank you ray, to you as well.
My plan was if I decided to sign for another 6 I am gonna stick it out and do my 20.  the benefits arent too bad through the guard either and that was my largest factor in deciding another 6. At least I know my new wife and I will have some sort of health care for atleast 6 year.
