Welp, we got drawn for the season "D" which started today.

I did alot of scouting and glassed a few turkeys to watch their behavior. Placing the blinds up a week before season start, so they could get used to um. Close to the main traffic areas. Thinking that they would be henned up, I bought a Tom decoy to pull dominate gobblers away from the hens. The morning before season, I did one final scout, and had several Tom's talking back to my calling. That night, (last night) there were 2 tom's and several hens on the field close to one of the blind set-ups.

My daughter came home so we could hunt together and left the house at 4:30am to get to the blind. Once there we set the decoys and settled into the blind. After a couple hours of calling now and then, (without any replies) I figured they musta roosted in another area. My daughter soon was taking a nap in the blind when I noticed the group back on the field. Without calling, I raised the tail up and down a few times on the "killer B" decoy, the Tom's broke away from the hens. They made a bee line for our set-up, coming into a 20 yard range. My daughter said that she would take the one on the left, and I, the one on the right. When she squeezed off her shot, I let mine fly.....SCORE!!!! DOUBLE!!!!  :rocker;

What a photo! A nice 24" x 36" blow up would look nice on the family room wall.
