grouse / woodcock
well if this years deer season is abust.. i'll fill up my freezer with grouse and woodcock.  they seem to be everywhere walking through the woods this weekend. I may have to get a 410, or find some of those bird shot pistol rounds.

Grouse numbers must be up here too. Cutting our trails and shooting lanes we have seen quite a few.

really? wow.. I thought the numbers would be up.. i'll keep an eye out for them tomorrow.. going to bring the daughter up and have her with her 20ga in front of me as we go down the trail. maybe she can nock her first one down.
