New to the state, wondering where and how difficult it is to find a piece of land to bow hunt. Im from Michigan with approx 325,000 bowhunters and land is very hard to come by. Just wondering what I am up against in my new state, thanks.

Let's see.....off the top of my head....

Carlos Avery is open to hunting, but I believe that gets hit pretty hard cause it's close to the cities.

Pine city has Chiciwtonga (not sure of the spelling) state land.

Dalbo has some state land.

I think Isanti has some as well.

We had a link for the WMA's....I'll see if I can find it....

If I still lived in the cities and didn't have my own land to hunt on I'd apply for a Ft. Ripley permit and pack way in.  Google Ft. Ripley deer hunt images.

Sherburne County Sand Dunes National Wildlife Refuge.  35,000 acres located just west of Zimmerman.

What deadeye said and it is not bow hunted very hard. Come firearm season that is another story. I used to live not far from the refuge. Good luck.
Hey look your bobber is up!
