After I get this raised garden project done, it's time to go and get some dandelions! It's time to make some dandelion wine!

I got about 3/4 a 5 gal bucket full last Sat.The neighbor rents a lot next door to my empty lot to a family who had kids and their friends up.
I made a deal wit da kids to pick all the yellow flowers no stems and I'd take em to the Spicer dairyqueen! They took the bait!
This year i have removed all the green pods off the flowers,Last year I didnt and it yet made fine wine.Last year I made almost 2 gallons this year 5 is my goal.

I hid mine for 6 months,Still have 4 bottles in Grolisch beer 15 oz bottles. I had to wait according to instructions seein it was the first time I made dandlion wine. The instructions said 6 months is OK but 1+ year is best,I gave a bottle to a 83 year old lady friend 2 months ago who had to save it till her sister could share it. They had it when mom made it when they were young. Maybe they forgot what mom made but said mine was a 10. Maybe the general can give it a try just a sip or two!! Whats left will age while I slowly sip it with friends who appreciate homemede stuff. Now on to the rhubarb wine I would have never thought of!! I have grape vine sweet grapes, the neighbor has a super wild grape vine thats huge, but they wont be available till fall.
Yah I lucked out with new renters nextdoor!!
