I have no idea how much that thing costs but $1 is too much.  I'd save my money and buy a used pop up camper.  But you work hard every day so who am I to say what you spend your money on.

I bought a hub portable fish house and have thought of using it for a tent.  It would be set up before that guy got the straps untangled.   :happy1:

It's nice IF, you have three perfectly spaced large trees over a flat area just to start.  The instruction book must be 40 pages.  One thing he never demonstrated is how you get in the beds.

I think I'd just haul a load of lumber out and build a small cabin before trying to figure that out.

Yeah definitely seems that after all of that they couldve included some kind of extendable pole...

I just thought they were interesting.
I have seen smaller ones for a couple people that can be set up in no time.
And, you can set-up in places where you can't pound a stake in for a normal tent.

Me and Mama are looking at camping in the BWCA, in the primitive camping areas. You can't drag all that stuff in, and what you bring in....you take out.

If that is the plan you had better think light because Mama will be carrying 2 cases of Busch Light and you'll have everything else.   ;)

So maybe 10% of the campers will be interested in this.  Maybe 10% of them even have the mechanical ability to do this. So he will probably sell about 4 of these.  He really did put a lot of work into it though.    If I was given one of these I may set it up if I found 3 trees that would work and had a ladder to climb in it.   Then I would burn the whole thing and keep the ratchet straps for something else.

When he sets this up he reminds me of the guy at sport shows that has the mitre saw set up where he spends all day setting it up and taking it down.  All day long for 3 days.  I used to have a booth at those shows and was by him sometimes.  He would even laugh when he would see me watching him doing it for the 300th that day...  He had a good product.

I just showed my wife this as we are having a cocktail after work.  She is still laughing.......   I said can you see us getting one of these.....    :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I think it also comes with one of those small trampolines where a guy would run and jump on it to get in.

I can see this thread going forever :laughroll:

I feel like if they played it in fast forward and the guy had some good red flannel I could be watching an episode of the red green show.

So true on red green.  I picture 2am and myself and 2 other drunk buddies trying to get in those things.  I'm guessing after 2 or 3 tries the ground is going to look pretty dang good.
