Weed be gone?

Nope. Need to be careful weed be gone is an actual product that kills weeds but not grass. Not a kill all product!

 I was going to comment Vinegar is acid that will kill, the soap acts as a surfactant reducing surface tension of a liquid so it spreads not as droplets.The salts?? I put epsom salt on my maters so they get more minerals.I guess the acid does the trick>>I googled it an found this.Lots a google sites say it works great! I'll stick to my Amine 400 in water base.

Dunno what it would work on, I just saw it and figured I'd ask if anyone has used it. I know that certain plants hate salt, and certain plants hate vinegar. ....but dish soap?

My wife uses this to kill weeds that grow up next to the driveway and by her flowers. It works well and it natural (no chemicals).

I always get a kick out of these concoctions. Not that they don't work it's just that they need to be used in the proper manner. When first out of college and working as an agronomist in North Dakota, we were doing some presentations on Fargo (a wild oat herbicide) and Treflan (a foxtail herbicide). After the meeting was over, an older gentleman pulled us aside and told us. "Boys, you're wasting your time. I got something that works better and is whole lot cheaper. Diesel fuel and bleach. Spray it on after the crop is up and it works great!" It did alright. Burned the snot out of the wheat, crippled the wild oats and foxtail which came back with a vengeance. His fields were absolute disasters. Borax is another one that was popular as a weed control product for broadleaves, in particular for creeping charlie and may still be in some cases. Does well for weeds growing through the mulch and other areas in the yard for me but it doesn't seem to be taking care of the ones growing through the cracks on the driveway real well.

i just  scavenget the round up outa our drip.pan. kills everythinv expect seed designed to resistant to it that still blowes me a away. round up resistant beans.  were spray round up right now on beans. the sience of agronamy. crazy.

Glenn works for the DEA now?  ;)Boar, that reminds me of when they used to pump the pit water out of the sprayer rinse pad when I worked at the elevator in town here. There was a lot of fertilizer that got rinsed off the sprayers as liquid suspension blends were popular in the area at the time. In addition to things like Treflan and Lasso, there was also a lot of Banvel in there. This was back in the days when there was a set aside program so they'd work out a deal with a farmer and spray the stuff out on his set aside acres. Still remember the one guy decided to plant soybeans the next year where the rinse water had been spread. The Treflan and Lasso would've been OK but not the Banvel. The beans came up fine but after that it was all downhill.  Some Xtend soybeans planted in the area. They're resistant to dicamba too. They just received clearance for sale to the EU. We need something to combat the glyphosate resistant giant ragweed. Man that stuff is tough.
