Iceshanty is/was a great site, but just like HSO, ANY mention of ANY other site, and WHAMMO!!! your post disappears. There's a group of mods from NY that are tight buddies, oversee and zap just about anything and everything they want.....and they're untouchable, in the owners pocket, so it seems. Turned into tons of complaints against them, but the owner (Rick) refused to deal with it. He also refuses to address any PM's from members, which should tell you something right there.
Sad thing, is there's some really great people on there, with vast knowledge, and some hilarious humor. I gave up my column over there after about 5 years of the good ol' boy crap, and moved on.... along with a quite a few others. Too many sites seems to have that happen. It' still a great site for great info, if you don't get too involved. Not meaning to trash the site, just watch what you do.
I like it here. 

most my information snooping is not how many fish ya caught or where............i can do that on my own!!!!!!!! i usually am looking for conditions, mainlt this time of yeat with ice thickness or snow amounts!!!!

Rebel, that's what I don't like about Ice Shanty, it's too big to sort through.

HD, most sites zap you if you mention another site so I have no idea. I've been kicked off HSO too many times to count for extremely trivial opinions or posts with non competitive links that have products people were looking for. They're too stupid to realize what they had and too stupid to ever get it back. I've been told it's all Rick pissing people off, but I don't know that for a fact.

oh its some of the other selected group if his croonies and mods that thought they were almighty.

So the old site is created and or managed by guys in New York????  So what's that all about?  I had seen you mention that before Rebs and have been curious about that.

That's on my old ice fishing (ice fishing only) site, LPS..not the one  a lot of guys here have flipped over from. (Including me) The owner basically lets a bunch of NY mod buddies run the site; and delete anything at their discretion. This is a good site, and there's people from all over the US  on it....all the places that get any ice, anyway. You can't contact "Mgmnt", as that is the owner, and he won't reply to any PM's. Words is, (from a few other mods) that to become a mod, you need to do some "things" for him....ya, *** you jack. Reb don't play that game.
