I really enjoyed his shows.  Then Andrew Zimmer appeared on the scene and I like his shows too.  fun to see other countries and how they eat.  Bourdain kind of scoffed BBQ.  He was into more fancy stuff usually.  I was wondering why he hadn't been on lately.  So sad is right....

Suicide epidemic is serious business these days.  And it ain't just celebrities and PTSD vets.

Lots of folks suffer in silence with their mental health problems and issues and don't offer any warnings before they decide to cash in their chips.

Bourdain an zimmern were my favs! hands down zimmern a alcoholic recovering and Anthony Burdain a heavy drinker showed it talked about an did it on the shows. To bad he had a??Whatever that drove him to the edge and over!

I lost my best friend and a nephew to suicide.... it's a bad deal....
You think you are helping them cope and move on in life, then in an instant it all changes.

We walk every year, around como park for suicide prevention. Mostly to remember the fallen, but it may bring a little light to the problem.

It is. Lost two very good friends to suicide.  Not the slightest warning or sign.

I've lost friends and relatives to it.  I just read how the numbers are higher than they have ever been.

Nobody close to me, but I know the numbers are way up. It's not all PTSD or Opioids either as there's a lot of mental health issues in this country & they aren't getting the attention they should be. Sorry for your loss guys.

I agree Gunner. Lost a good sheep producer friend a few years ago. No warning, just snapped. Is a history in our family on both my parents sides.

I just read an article about how men are hesitant to get help from depression.  They try to be strong and deal with it themselves until it is too late.  We all have ups and downs and if the downs get to prevalent maybe it is time to talk to someone.  They say sometimes that is all it takes is to talk to a professional to help.  Or sometimes even talking to a friend helps too.   :happy1:
