  • "Seems like time is here and gone".....Doobie's
Had a knock at my door this afternoon.....and there was my old tourney fishing buddy, who I haven't seen in two years. (had a big job change and went back to school for his BA)
He's done in a few months with school, and moved to a new job location...about a mile from me. Anywho, he wanted to know if I wanted to start hittin' the river again and do some tourneys... Plus, he went all out and got himself a bit better boat. New 175 Competitor...140 Suzuki...dual Lowrance Elites (front and rear)...Terrova with 101 lbs thrust...3 captains chairs with tilt and recline, and oodles of other goodies. He had it set up the way we always talked about doing. How could I say no? He had to literally pull me out of it. Think my fingernails left some drag marks on it.  :rotflmao: I best get the Shimano's lubed up and spin on some new line, so I can show Glenn soon what big fishies look like.   :fish2: :rotflmao:

I always stand about 80% of the time to work that rod and line right. Tough to do when yer sittin' on yer butt.  I'll take a big pillow to sit on!  :rotflmao: Anything would be better than our last tourney three years ago.....38* with sporadic rain.  Was 78* when we left CAWchester.

The only thing better than owning a boat like that is having a good friend who owns a boat like that!

Yup...and we fish well together. Kinda know the others routines. I like casting from the back of the boat; he likes the front. When one gets a good fish on, the other automatically grabs that net and gets in position to land it. I don't think we've ever crossed lines or over-casted each other. Had a few of those fish buddies that cross up the lines, hook the anchor rope, snarl their lines, drop the containers of worms all over the boat, knock over the beverages, lose tackle over the side....

Seriously, good for you Reb!  :happy1: You can bring the neighbor lady some enticement.  :rotflmao:
