youth bow

ok the bow HD  donated was awesome but  too much weight. didn't work out could the fine people of the forum here put out your feelers and keep an eye out for a youth bow, hes got about 26 to 26.5 draw, and cant pull over 40 so a actual youth bow is needed. thanks guys! his dad is in a financial vise only has 125 to contribute. I don't want to get this kif some Walmart junk either, something he can grow into for awhile. thanks

I got my grandson one of these.  Being he shoots lefthanded, I wanted to get something that would last until he stops growing.  It can be easily adjusted for length and draw weight.

Maybe check out the classified section at ArcheryTalk.  They have a sub-forum dedicated to Youth bows.  Check in often because if you find a quality bow at a value price, it won't last long.  I bought my daughter's bow off there several years ago.  Most folks who post there are willing to ship, but you have to know what your looking at because you can't try before you buy.

Otherwise you can check out the local craigslist ads, but too many times folks are selling old bows for ridiculous prices.  Maybe find one you like that has been listed for a while and shoot them a more reasonable offer.  If you're lucky it will come with adequate accessories and arrows.

I saw this ad for a Diamond Razor Edge.  This was Diamond's first foray into the market of youth bows that easily expands as the hunter grows.  Back in the day, when I was shopping for my kids, I thought the Razor Edge felt a little mushy - especially in the back wall.  It sounds like the Infinity Edge that DE referenced has an improved design.  But this used Razor Edge is offered at a better price.
