When you process 🦌, you run into some weird crap....

First, is a deer we named "the flying squirrel deer" this deer was butterflied out, on both sides of the the rib cage...and drug down the trail, breast down.

Next, is a piebald 🦌 that was all gray, taken by Barnum.

Next, as I skun a 🦌, eight slugs fell out of the hide. They were .17 (the size of a pellet or BB gun) the picture is beside a 44 mag slug for comparison.

Next...is the biggest 🦌 this year.... really wide antlers, almost palmated like a moose.

The last one, was our racks the first day of processing....

Everyone should have to actually process a deer at least once.  This way they would take a lot more care shooting, field dressing and handling the deer.

I take 2 weeks a year of my"normal" job to process 🦌.
As of yesterday evening, I skun 850 deer. The folks I help out, are the closest to family as you can get. My nephew has worked for them for ,17 years, my great nephews have worked there for the last 5, I have worked there on and off for the last 20, jr has worked there for the last 3

The original owner, was my best friend, (he has past) so, I help when I can.  :happy1:

The first one may have been someone who thought they were going to skin it and cutting up at camp or in the woods and said screw it!

I know you don't want to lose customers but may be a Warden should have been called in to look at the small bullet sizes on that one.

The CO and me are good friends, she said that there would be "0" chance of proving where the slugs would have came from. Because the deer did not die from them, it could have traveled several miles.
