I've been rebuilding my 1950's Craftsman table saw in my "spare" time.

I should have taken a "before" picture, but like I said, I've been picking away on it.

Anyways, I had the motor rewound with new brushes. Welded up a stand with wheels and a handle. Added an extension table. Wired up a front mount on-off switch. New bearings in the blade housing. Put some levelers on the table and gave it a paint job. Only thing left is to add a fence that I ordered off of Amazon.

Yeah I know.... with all of the labor I could have bought a new saw. The funny thing is that I do have a new, bigger DeWalt table saw in the barn.

The only difference is that one is for wood, and I have this one setup for cutting metal.

Looks great HD!

I love keeping my old tools/appliances up and running. Seems they are built tougher, as long as you can find parts.

Really neat. I also have some old tools. Some on the wall and some still in use.  ;)

Thanks 👍

The new fence arrived yesterday, so I gotta drill and tap some holes on the side of the table.

Probably get that done this weekend.

Those tables on them old saws are solid.  I have that same one.  Kid keeps telling me to use the new one but I like this old one better.
