I went out today with my oldest boy, got out around 5:00pm and had everything setup.  We fished for about 5 minutes and he tells me that he wants to go home. Great, that was a lot of work for 5 minutes of fishing.  I usually just leave when he tells me he is ready to leave, but I had to make him stay out a little longer.  I told him he had to catch a fish before we could leave so I helped him for a few minutes and he got a small sunfish.  I figured that would get him interested, but he still wanted to leave.  We managed to stay for an hour total.  I caught quite a few small sunfish, they were all over the flasher from 10 to 30 feet, and he quit after his one fish.  I was hoping to stay for the crappie bite after dark, but there was no way he was going to stay that long.
