Wild Schedule!
Was just lookin at the Wilds remaining schedule...12 games left...7 at home.... 3 against Colorado...2 each against Van,Cgy & Edm & a Sanjose game ta boot!  Wow! Its gonna be interesting to say the least.... :rocker;

I hate to say it but if they do not do something here quick they will go into the playoffs as a 6th or 7th seed. And with our luck draw Detroit, Flames or San jose ...not a great 1st round series for us ! I would like to see a deep run but they are making it hard for themselves !!!

as far as I am concerned.. the playoffs start for them Thursday night.  they have 3 game series with the avs, they need to win at least 2 of those. 2 against the flames and 2 against Vancouver, they need to win 3 out of those 4...
2 against the oilers, kings... they better win those,
i'll allow them to lose to the sharks and devils.  if they win either of them, that can make up for a loss in one of the other games. 
so bottom line, they need to win 8 of their next 12 games, that should get them in first place and give them some momentum going into the playoffs.
I also think Lemaire needs to play Backstrom no matter what to build his confidence and get him hot.  He is such a head case, as much as I love Josh... he needs to go with one goalie.

Yep, I agree John, They gotta give Backstrom the nod here on out to get him in the right frame of mind.  Unfortunatly I think we gotta take the division to avoid gettin creamed in the first round.  We dont match up well against the top seeds as they are now....if they can pull it together, now would be the time, and yeah, the teams left on the schedule is lookin like a playoff schedule for sure!  This will be a test of character for the team, and a good measure of what they'd better do in the off season for the new owner!

I hate to disagree with you but I think we need Josh in the net against the Devils. I am pretty sure we are going to lose so dont get Backstrum started with a loss. Then put Backstrom in the net and let him ride it out, but I think that he needs to stay out of an almost guaranty loss because he is a head case.

Is it just me or was anyone po'd when we had Gabby in the shootout Sunday? I dont know who was in the shootout on Friday because I missed that game.

Yeah, gabby shouldnt be in shoot outs, he's a sniper, not a breakaway guy, cant figure why....Nuemellin is out, everyone knows Rolston is gonna T one up, Bouchard, Koivou and Burnsie are the only true shoot out guys ya can depend on... now if they'd just let Josh take the net for all shootouts, I wouldnt have to watch shootouts peeking through my fingers... :whistling:

Well they are playing hard and that is a good thing they are just not getting the bounces ... How many pucks danced on the goalline with out going in !!

Yeah, that was tough...they played well though.  Minus the shoot out..... What the hell Rolston, if yer gonna wind up, at least hit the damn net! :banghead:

still, based on my earlier post of predicting they would need to win 8 of their last 12... and basically counting the devils as a loss... I see it as a bonus point.  It was a good game, if they play that game 11 more times, they'll get some puck bounces.  The other teams don't have a goalie like that.  If they play like that, they should make the 8 wins.

They dominated the OT for almost 5 minutes, i couldn't believe some of the save Brodeur made, he is an awesome goaltender. that save from Gabby with a minute or so to go was unbelievable.

i would have rather had Bouchard shooting in the shootout though and not Rolston against Brodeur, you need to deke him and lay him on the ice to score.

Here we go... three way tie with the Avs and the Flames... Geesh!  I can hardly stand this... especially after goin thru the Goph's game this weekend...  HUGE game tonite, though they are all huge now.  I always think about all those close games they squandered during the season that they should have won in this situation. :banghead:  GO WILD!

Hockey mania the rest of the week!  Calgary loss bigger that a wild win..(almost) Huge road trip... and another in state rivalry for the gophs, but at excel.  HUGE road game tonight! :dancinred: Im having visions of  Shepard or Gabby or Butch or Koivu breakin out big...like hat trick big.... :bow: :taz: :superman:

Dangnabit! Two goals for Gabby anyway... Thought he was gonna do it on the shoot out when he went full jets at the net, Damn, is he fast or what... too bad it didnt work, goalie didnt flinch, they know he doesnt deak on breakaways...  :banghead:
