A photo from a stealth camera.

Ever been walking through the woods at night and had that sensation that
something was following....

This picture is from Montana , where someone set out a motion sensor
camera to see if any big bucks were passing in the area.

*I got this in an e-mail (so the story may/may not be true, but the picture says it all!)

I'd never seen it. Makes you think

I remember one time when I was guiding one of the owners of Federa Cartridge Corp in Idaho. I saw what appeared to be an elk rub about 100 yd's away. But when I got next to it I realized it was a grizzly bear clawing.

Two days later I was scouting on my own, without a weapon, aned heard some twigs cracking behind me. The hair stood up on the back of my neck - when I realized it coud be a griz.

Boy - I'll tell ya - it's wonderful how crowded it gets when there is only you and a grizzly in the same valley.

Never did see it though.

One time when I was guiding Bud Grant (MN Vikings) in New Mexico, we had another guide's dogs chase a Mt. Lion right through camp. Earlier that week Dennis Anderson (Star -Tribune writer) and I had something spook the heck out of our horses in the dark, I figured it was a Mt. Lion.

For those reasons I often carry a .357 when I guide in the western states.

May Yahweh-God bless you and yours,
