How many of you fisher people use crawler harnesses, a crawler harness can be very effective for catching more Walleyes.

I'll even blow up my crawlers in most situations. One of the biggest mistakes i see from "rookie" fisherman is not tipping the crawler properly, lay the crawler out and hook them with both hooks of the harness. The key is to have the crawler all the way extended in the water.

Im guilty of using crawlers/harnesses etc for 75% of guided walleye trips, there is definetly an art/system to fishing crawlers effectively.  The reason for crawlers--for me its margins --cheaper than minnows, easier to transport and keep alive--things like that.

Me too, I use crawlers pretty often for the same reasons mentioned in your post. Anything special about using a crawler that you can add?

I see a lot of people using pieces of the crawler or balling them up. Those tactics work for panfish, but for Walleye fishing its different. A full length crawler looks like a great easy meal to a Walleye.

Nitro Crawlers are great too.

I only use a whole crawler for walleye seldom.  Usually its half crawler on the harness, jig, or rig!  They dont care, and it smells much better.
