Fished with Tommy Bucchinari and Tony Castorie today on their annual Spring Smallmouth hunt. The water temps had dropped since last week, but we were able to connect with 5 nice smallies on our first spot using crawler rigs. Our second area which is the old standby only produced 2 smallies. After that we hit a slow period for quite a while.

We shifted over to the north shore narrows area and popped 2 smallies in 13 fow. Decided to try in 16 to 19 ft and found the fish to be more aggressive and further up in the water column. Over all we wound up having great day with sunny skies, light wind, and cool temps. Not even one largemouth today. I may go spend some time tomorrow searching out some of the traditional largemouth spots for the heck of it.

Thanks for bringing the terrific sandwiches with all the trimmings Tommy.
