OK fellas, How do I clear out all the clutter in the middle of the screen.  I turn down the sensitivity and pretty much everything disappears.  I maybe should of had them put the old X40 on the new boat?

what kind of clutter is it?  How is your unit wired?  Why this unit and not your old one?, most units are not much different them the old, just programed, did you chnaged anyting else in the boat, add other things?  Transducer clean, damaged,  etc etc ? More info is needed.

In the middle of the screen it's little dots all over.  When I turn down the sensitivity like I did on my old one everything will disappear or get faint.  The boat is brand new and everything was put in professionally.  Lets say you are in a hard bottom and it's yellow on the screen.  It will show weeds, fish, rock, etc, on the bottom.  Then up about an inch it's clutter.  SO if I turn down the sensitivity much at all the clutter goes away and so does everything else or at least gets faint.  Transducer is clean and brand new.  I believe the unit is wired to the battery that runs the motor.

does it happen when the motor is running, trolling or high speed, on every lake at any depth, What else is wired to the battery, do you have a flasher on the same battery.  Is the unit wored seperately to the battery or does it share a wire with something else?  Does the clutter stay there when you un plug the transducer and keep the unit on?

Those are some good questions.  The clutter is on at all times.  The X520 has a built in flasher on the side of the screen.  Have not tried to unplug the transducer.  It does it trolling and at high speed although at high speed it starts to flash.  It is wired to the battery seperately.
