Leech is back, that is an understatement.  I have fished Leech lake more then Winnie upto a few years ago.  The fishing right now reminds me of the many of great days we had prior to the downturn.

We have been fishing mainly 8-10 foot of water from Federal Dam, Grassy point ot Five mile.  Numbers of fish coming to the boat ranging in all year classes.  Most of keepers will be in the 16 to 17.5 inch range.

Numbers of fish in the 20 to 25 inch range.  Most of the active fish are coming from the jigs tipped with the silver shiners.  Look for the fish to push to some of the deeper strucutre in the near future.  IF you like Leech and haven't been there for a few years, I would recommend getting back to it, the fishing is great!

See you on the water in a Lund Boat!
