Lake Minnewaska

Walleyes have been steady.  There are very few that are not coming back with some fish.  My favorite spots are still running series 200 Reef Runners at 12 to 14 feet on either side of Priest's Point or School Point.  I have been meaning to get over to Swenson Point but the fishing has been good on the other side of the lake so no reason to leave...maybe this week/weekend I will get there.  Alot of people still fishing jig/minnow off School Point and alot of guys have been coming in for leaches and crawlers with very good reports.  Anyone else have a report?

Rumor has it that Lake Mary has a good bite going on...haven't fished there in years.  Big fish being reported as well.  Anyone been up there or any report?

I have not received any updates on Reno.

Emily is still putting out some walleyes but I have not had anyone in lately to give a report.  I need to get down there one day as well.  So many lakes...so little time!

The sunfish are crazy on Minnewaska...just hard to beleive all of those big sunnies can keep coming out of that lake all summer and all winter without any bounce.  The biggest sunnies are reported in 9 to 16 feet with most around that 12 foot range.  Just drift along until you find them and then anchor.  Or, go to a spot where you graff some cabage weeds and fish it.  I would also recommend anchoring on the shallow ridge of Swenson's Point and then casting to the east into the deeper water...very good action.

Bass and pike everywhere.  Pulled in some nice smallies with the biggest 18.5.  Biggest pike was 28.5.

Minnewaska is a great destination for just about everything to fish.  We have a full line of bait and tackle as well as my hand drawn map of the hot spots.  Stop in and we can get you on the fish!

Everyone have a great 4th and Fish On...and on...and on...and on!
