I'm heading to Mille Lacs Wednesday evening. We rented a launch for everyone at work.

Anyone else gonna be up?

My brother just got home from a few days up there and they hammered the fish. They caught fish on the rocks all day long. Actually Thursday evening they did pretty bad only catching a couple. All day Friday was fantastic and Saturday was the same. Haven't talked to him today yet but I will post some pictures tomorrow. They slip bobber fished rocks with the best dpeth being 18-20 feet.

I think they said Hunters Point for the launch, not sure where we are staying yet.

My dad and some friends were up this past weekend working on an addition on the cabin, they fished a little and did well.

It turned out they booked the launch for Wednesday 8am to noon, I couldn't afford to take the day off so i worked all day.

7 guys ended up going and not a bite all morning, no fish. The mayfly hatch must of really shut them down that week. Has anyone been up since and have a better report?

My brother was up on Mille Lacs all last week, here is his report:

Mille lacs is very slow right now. I went out last night on Garrison Sports launch and there were 14 people and there was a total of 6 fish caught.  3 in the slot and 3 over the slot.  Kerry at Garrison Sports and the captain Greg tried hard to get us on the fish but the bit was not on. I knew it was going to be slow and Kerry at Garrison Sports told me that it was going to be that way.  We fished several different spots and it was tough.  Got give them guys credit at Garrison Sports, they told the truth and the tried hard to get us on fish.  We fish several different flats starting in 26 ending in 32 feet of water. Other launches in the area are having the same production if not worse.

My brother in law went out last Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and managed to catch a total of 4 fish and they were all over the slot.  There is a lot of bait fish in the waters, big perch hatch, and mayflies started coming out of the water last night.

I fished a lot of smaller lakes in the area and managed to get in to the Crappies a bit.  12-16 feet of water fishing 6-8 feet suspended was the trick.
