14 hrs till blast off. Final destination Basswood Lake. I've been waiting a whole year for a return trip and now that it's time I'm still not ready. Three more hrs of packing on Friday am and I'll be on my way.

Stay tuned for a full report from three glorious weeks of fishing the BWCA. I figure the first three days will be slow with the mayfly hatch going on now. After that fishing should improve rapidly.

I'm looking for big eyes and giant smallies. When things get slow Basswood has some dandy size gills that are fun on slip bobbers.

If things go well I'll be posting Lee's Boundary Waters Adventures 2006. If things don't go well I'll be hiding in the weeds with egg on my face.

Dr. Bob will be up camping for a few days and promised me a cold one. So, I guess I'll be looking for his campsite.

Am I a lucky guy or what?

Deet?....You forget that I'm Norwegian and we don't need that stuff. We are very stubborn and would rather get chewed up to prove a point.

Got up at 3:30 am and started futsin with stuff for the trip. Seems that I'll never be done, but I need all this stuff. ::) My bride is still sleeping at 6:00 am and is not a morning person >:(. Do I dare wake her? :-\

Well, my break time is over so I better have at it some more.? Soooo much stuff :o
