Now we just have to beat the Royals 3 times and get a 1 game playoff at worst.  I am thinking if we just win 2 out of 3 it should be enough to tie, but you never know so it is best to just win.

I have to say this is pathetic and neither team deserves to be in the playoffs.  After a good series with the White Sox, I had forgiven the way the team had managed to stay in the race, by the White Sox losing.  All we had to do was win a series at home against the fourth place team in our division and we can't even do that.  For some reason Chicago does not really want to win the division either, they can't win a game at home when it counts either.  Give the Angels a first round bye and forget the AL Central even existed this year.

It's not that bad, just watch them win today and we'll all feel better about it when they win the division! :woot:

And here I thought you followed baseball... Royals and the Indians been the two hottest teams in baseball. Royals going 13-2 their last 15 games and the Indians are 7-3  Twins just had one of their best if not best series this year and it was called way back in May that it would be a meaningful one. This young team has done better then any of the experts predicted. I'm enjoying that we are still in it..    :happy1:

I know they are both hot teams, but we should be able to win a series against them at home.  This division should have been decided awhile ago if either team would have played better this month.  Since we started the long road trip at the end of August the Twins are 15 - 20.  Over the same period the Sox are 12 - 20.  If one team just played close to .500 baseball over the last month this would be over.  Hopefully they win today so I don't have anything to complain about and it would be nice to see this young team get into the playoffs.

It's a long long season. This is a very young team and bullpen has been hurting for most of it. The young arms are getting tired in the starting rotation and I think what Gardy was worried about is happening, they are getting tired at the end of the season. The big series is going to take some time to recover from and then they run into a very hot team. Sometimes you do just get outplayed. Like you I hope they can put together a few more wins here and Justin will find his bat. Would be a great time for him to step up and carry the team.

Hey, thats baseball!  Ask Leyland and the Tigers about what they were supposed to do...  look at what the Twins lost (Cy Young & Golden glove ) we werent supposed to be where we are!  With all the young arms and a young untested outfielders, I think its unreal that we are even talkin about being in the race!  Look at our payrole and tell Gardy and the guys they dont deserve to be where they are!  Yeah it was hard to take one of three to the royals, but they have been killing us all season!  THATS BASEBALL!  How soon do we forget what they did to the SOX!  Man, it was a great season, no matter what the out come!  The only misgivings I have is Delmon Young.... he just doesnt belong playing in the outfeild... I close my eyes every time the ball goes his way.  JOEY MAUER RULES!  I cant believe he isnt mentioned for MVP! :banghead:

Yeah, I was hoping to get the final score before I went to night class.

Guess I will have to set the phone to silent and check the scores every-now and then!

A showdown in Chi Town is gonna be exciting tomorrow, although i would like that extra day of rest if the Sox lost today, the game tomorrow is gonna be fun. Whoever wins the game will have earned there way in and not going in on a losing streak or losing there way in.

The only negative is the Twins and Sox rotations are all screwed up now, I heard Blackburn is going for us and Liriano will start game 1 against tampa if we get in.

Actually Gardy has spoke of wanting Blackburn to be his man for the mini playoff game. Don't know why but Gardy must know something we don't. However I don't thing Gardy will have any problem going to the bull pen. Would have been nice for Detrot to help us out but will be a better memory if we kick some AJ butt again and win our way in...

I hope yer right Bobby.... kickin some AJ  :censored: may give em some momentum.... being Blackburn may not have the skills the other guys have, Im hopin its cause Blackie has more heart/guts than his only other choice, Liriano.... who couldnt get up for his Royals outing... (didnt he look like he didnt want to be there that game?)  Man, if this aint the ultimate test of will for a young pitcher tonight... I dont know what is... Lots of eyes are watching him on the mound tonight!  If only Mr. Morneau can pull his hands off his throat, & stop choking at the worst possible time of the year, (so he can swing)  and propel us into the post season... man, hes done it for us all year... :banghead: his at bats lately have just sucked! :doah: I wonder what the deal is...  GET UP...STAND UP...GO TWINKS!!! :taz: :dancinred: :taz: :dancinred:

sorry i had to say it, but it seems like the white sox just played bad in the series against the twins and they played bad against cleveland also, but they played pretty good there past 2 games and they coming into tonights game with momentum and a 2 game winning streak, i know it aint much but it may be enough
