So I've made the decision to get myself a climber stand.  I have it narrowed down to two climbers and am looking for a little advice.  If anyone has used or heard anything about these?  I'm looking for anything I can get.

1. Summit Viper SS
2. Lone Wolf Alpha Sit and Climb

Hey viking 2233, stick to ground shooting.  How is your ground shooting?  Particularly with a deer running at you??  And do you shoot with a scope? I have a buddy that shoots with a scope and had it come back and cut his eye!  We now have to put cotton around his scope so he doesn't shoot and cut himself again!!!

Thanks for ruining my post Filbert.  I'm here trying to get valuable information from our fellow hunters and you need to go and make stuff up.

So, if anyone has more informaiton about my original post asking for climber stand advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

climbers are nice. i have been using mine all season. i bought one for Tim and i like it alot, it aint always the most comfortable but i like going higher and out of sight, just dont go into to high otherwise you have a tough time cutting shooting lanes. as for which one to get they are both nice stands, i would go with the one you think is gonna be most comfortable and isnt going to weigh a ton either.

Hey Viking2233,
I think climbing stands are very nice as long as it's a good quality. I have a friend much like the one Filbert talks about. He likes to shoot deer until the all legs are broke, track them with 2 rolls of toilet paper and put about 16 holes in the deer. He also has trouble eating steak. We normally have to rush him into the hospital when he can't seem to get the act of chewing down. Something new every year.
Let the small bucks walk. Don't assume the neighbors will shoot them if you don't. If you shoot him what chance does that buck have to grow......ZERO!

I'm thinking maybe these guys know eachother..??

 :reporter;

Anyways.....I think when it comes to equipment and doing something that you love and dedicate the time you need to dedicate the money as well. Ultimately you get what you pay for......that is true with so many things!..

Sorry guys. Yeah we all know eachother. Viking is a very close friend (pretty much family) of Filbert and mine. Filbert is my brother Matt and every year something new happens to viking like almost getting run over by a deer on a drive then missing it, the scope thing, getting a chunk of steak caught in his throat and filling his first deer with so many holes the hide looked like mesh. There's is more too. We're all excited to see what happens this year. This poor guy gets so much crap from us.

First off I'd like to say nice picture. It's ok you find me more attracive then yourself. It's ok I get that a lot.  ;D Anyway Robert I've honestly heard the lone wolf is very light and very easy to use and sturdy. If you can get by the price tag and if I had the money that's the way I would go. They also have straps that are actually easy to use to carry them on your back.....unlike the 2 Matt has. I haven't heard much about the Summit climbers but I know their portables are nice.
You should really be think between
1. Wildview Extreme 4
2. Stealthcam
3. Reconyx
4. Moultrie
Wildview is probably the cheapest but if you and Matt think I deserve a cuddyback after my stealthy and logical kill. Well then I guess I won't complain. HAHA
But honestly go with the lone wolf because you're going to want one that is easy to carry, light, quiet and safe for Ripley this year!
Tim don't you worry I will be posting more of these hillarious stories. Like when we were going ice fishing and driving across an ice covered leech lake and Robert's (Viking2233) brother asked what way the wind was out of. Well Robert licked his finger and rolled the window down and stuck his finger in the air.....We were drivning at about 30mph. Guess what? We were driving right into the wind! :rotflmao: NO  :censored: Robert was the reply he got I believe.
