The Bear (Logan) drives a hard bargain; He said he would only go hunting tonight if we stop at Mc Donald’s on the way. So I guess he wins. However, it is a small price to pay to have him out with me again. Mc nuggets and a shake for a future hunting partner. Here is a pic from last year hopefully we will get a deer this time!!

Are you a hunter or do you just kill things? Respect the wildlife!

Great picture with a great story! Teaching my son of life and the outdoors is something I look forward to when he is old enough.
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

That's awesome! It won't be long and he'll be teaching you about hunting. It came around the age of 15 for me and my Dad. I knew it all back then.
Let the small bucks walk. Don't assume the neighbors will shoot them if you don't. If you shoot him what chance does that buck have to grow......ZERO!

Lex, they are never to young. It might be an inconvenience when they are real small, and you can go expecting to get 0 in the game department, but you can never get them involved to young. My boy is 4 1/2 and is about to have his 3rd duck opener. He has also logged many hours in the woods already looking for deer. Antler shed hunting and looking for mushrooms. Had his fair share in the boat and ice house too. So if that boy can sit up on his own bring him with. Sacrifice a few hours and you will be repaid 10 times over!!!!

Thanks for the info, unfortunately he is 5-1/2 months old and mrs. 22lex isn't too thrilled with me strapping him into the baby bjorn and tromping around the woods just yet. It will happen soon though and I look forward to it.
