If Morneau would not have went cold through September he would have taken the award for sure.  All the talk I heard was he had it locked up again until he basically gave it away to Pedroia down the stretch.

Yeah, Justin hit a wall the last month of the season, too bad cause he had a great season till the end there... but even more disapointing to me is how does a major league catcher who plays every day, calling the game for all the starting pitchers, wins the batting title and gets a gold glove at his position for good measure.... not get MVP!!! :scratch: :banghead: :bs: :bs: :bs: I guess if ya look at where two other of the top four play, and who won, that pretty much says it all... I also thought Joey at least should have finished ahead of Justin.  The only time Ive ever questioned the MLB "voting" till this was when Don Mattingly would beat out Kent Hrbek( :bow:) evey damn year for the AL 1st base gold glove.... :bs: :scratch:
