How many of you muzzle load for deer? If you do let us know what you shoot and the type of load you use.
I shoot a TC Omega, with TC Shockwave 250 gr. and 100 gr. of Pioneer Powder in the Shockey Gold. Very clean powder means less time spent cleaning!!!!!!!

First timer,

TC black diamond, 240 hp/xtp hornaday w/loose sabot, 100 grain go-ex loose powder, 209 primer.
Shot it yesterday, 1-2'' variance at 50, 2-4" at 100. Very happy with no scope.

A guy at work uses an old flint lock and calls the modern ones a STAR WARS LIGHT SABOR. I told him you still load from the muzzel. He just laughs.

TC Omega with TC Shock Wave 200 grain tipped bullet.  100 grains of 777 powder pellets.  I have had very similar results as 22lex.  Word to the wise do not shoot 3 pellets with 200 grain bullet.  Tried that in the beginning and the bullet tumbled and did all kinds of crazy stuff.  Too much power apparently!!!   training-087

I shoot a Traditions $99 pile of plastic. Shoots well out to 75 yards. I use Pyrex pellets just 2 of them. If you use 3, on most guns, the 3rd powder pellet burns outside the barrel. You waist most of it and a lot of the inacuracy comes frrom the powder burning all the way our the end of the barrel making it unstable as it leaves the gun.
