HELL YEAH!  ;D  It can't hurt.  I've been contacting people who sponsor or f.s. at other sites-and I don't give a hoot.  They are free to decide themselves.  Most probably won't come over, but it's worth a try.  A good example is Cookie...I know he reports on other sites, as long as he gives us the same time (or more) he'll be welcome here.

My overall thought is FM, or LSF doesn't own these people.  And we're something new for them, hopefully something better for them.  I can't speak for the other sites, but at least here we're willing to work with them.  I want to help our F.S. as best I can to drum up more interest/business for them and it should reflect here on MNO.

Jason Boser is a good example.  He reports on FM, but agreed to do reports here.   :happy1:

I think if we take the stance as "we don't care if you post on other sites", that will just set as farther apart from those other sites.  Those other sites try to control members and staff too much.

We need to stress what Woody just mentioned.  Our focus here on MNO is to get you and your business more exposure to people interested in the outdoors.  That will bring in more business for these guys.

They will spend more time here after they get to know us and see how we are not dictators like other sites.   :happy1:

The ones we know post on other sites, I would tell them flat out when sending the recruiting letter that they can post the same info here and get some free advertising from our viewers.  It is a no risk high reward set up for them.

I agree with you and Dennis 100% on this Woody! If we show them we are not trying to control them, that we simply want to establish a win-win relationship with them where we both get something positive in return and that we are willing to work with them and have some flexibility I would think that they will over time be more willing to work with us than another site who is dictating everything to them.

When I sold ads in the Outdoors Weekly every Tuesday morning I would sit down at my desk with the Outdoor News. I would start on page one and call every advertiser in there. I would tell them where I found them and I would tell them I could and would beat any competitors price. That was my best source of new advertisers. First time they ran I got 50% so Tuesdays I would make a lot of money. ;D

So yes.....That is a great place to start. Its just business.
