I have been looking for land to bow hunt, but I cannot find plot maps on the internet for Cottage Grove, Afton, Grey Cloud township, St. Paul Park, Newport area. I have asked around with no luck so far.  It is hard when you dont know how much land people owns and who owns each patch of woods. SOMEONE HELP me find plott maps!!!!!!!!!!!

check with the courthouse for each county in which you are looking.
I don't know how they do it down there in cityville, but here up nort, we just buy the book.

nowadays itasca county even has the GIS maps, interactive setup.
I can find the answers to any property I have questions about with the click of a mouse.
arial and topographical information is right there as well.
pretty handy really.
take a kid hunting and fishing!!

You should be able to find one through the county like jigglestick said try checking with the land department.  Or you can go online and try to find them I know that there is a company out of St. cloud, I think it is, that makes them or there is Rockford, the best in my opinion but I don't know how often they are updated throuth this company. Usually the books run about $30 but they are really nice to have and if you want an ariel of the area use google earth and the info from the plat book and you can see if the land is low high wooded or open.

I checked and the company that makes the boks is Cloud Cartographics and it looks like the books are about $40 and you can order right from their website.

Go to the County or City offices. They will have what you are looking for. They will be your best maps and most up to date...that is if you are looking for property owners and property lines.

You can get maps from the DNR that show all the public lands, but they won't show property boundaries or land owner information. I just purchased a plat book of the county we hunt and it shows much more detail. Like posted above, check with the county your interested in hunting.
