It is now 6:00pm on Thursday and I just got in from being out on the tundra in one of the Foam Domes. I was in shallow water, doing a little stealth fishing. Not much catching going on, I was only out for 2 hours. But they were the best part of the day, twilight time. Not a nibble on the shiners or the fatheads but that was ok. It was great just to be on the lake and ice fishing once more. I will be out early tomorrow morning and we will see what that brings for walleyes.

I just wanted to let you know, that there is 8 inches of ice. It all looks about the same consistency. There are some ice piles out there but they are pretty visible, as long as we do not get any snow over the next 4 or 5 days. I do have all of the New Foam Houses out and ready to go for this weekend. One of them is in 9 ft and the other 3 are out in 16, 18 and 20 ft of water.

Give me a call if you want to get in some early ice fishing this weekend. It is suppose to be pretty nice on Saturday, with some wind. That means you will get in on the front as it moves in on Sunday morning. It always makes for some very good fishing before and during the change. Get your fishing gear ready and let us commence with the hard water season. It feels very good to be on the ice 2 weeks early, so take full advantage of it.

Foam Dome?  Is this something you built?  Thanks for the report and I hope we don't get much snow!
