Anyone up for it in Monticello? My brother had been going out last week and I am heading up to Monticello to pick up a few batteries in Monti.

Anyone up for some wading on the river tonight for a few hours for some smallies?

I might even take the canoe out of anyone wants to meet me at my house to load it up and take it out with me...

Well in one hour last night, I had a couple short bites and one that came off when it went airborne (~12").  They seemed to get more active when the sun hit the tree line.  There is lots of green goo in the river, so you have to wade out about 20 feet (just above knee level) to get any on your line on the retrieve.

Saw a couple kids fishing for carp (didn't see any hookups) and one old timer fishing from shore for anything and also no hookups.  One other guy floated in a boat the part - south of the 25 bridge to just south of the Landing with maybe one or two fish.  He was concentrated on the other side of the river from where I was.

I have never really seen that part of the river so when I think it is low; it must be really low...  There is a good 20 feet of shore line that the homeowners did not have at the start of the year.  I might head out there Sunday with the canoe.
