We continue to have action with a lot of little ones!  Everyday we are having a different weather pattern come through and it seems to be affecting the bite.  There have been plenty of fish to keep and have some fresh appetizers or meals.  The Burbot have been active.  This is their spawning season and they are biting.

So far there still has not been a hot jig but those that are using the frozen shiners are getting more fish.

We have our houses spread out from 20 to 30 feet of water and plan to start moving some out to 31 tomorrow.  Picking depths this year has been a struggle as one day the shallow houses do well and the next the deeper houses do well.

It sure would be nice to get the same weather a couple of days in a row for once.  We have plenty of snow, this Saturday brought a heavy blanket on the lake.  We will see if that makes a difference in the fishing.

We still have availability for this winter and are taking reservation.  How about a Valentines weekend on the lake?

Four of us spent this past weekend on LOTW. My one and only trip for the winter season. We found similar results to what border view reported. At times we would catch 2 to 4 fish and then go an hour before we would have another round of fish coming through. Everything from jigging spoons to moon glows to jigs were catching fish. We used whole fatheads and only had one fish on a jigging spoon with a minnow head. No problem catching 1/2 to 3/4 pound saugers with four decent (keeper) walleyes. All but one sauger was released. The white out condition we had on Saturday was interesting to say the least.

I would think deeper water would be the ticket for middle of the day and that shallow water is where you want to set up for first and last light. We were fishing in 22' of water, all day.
