How about trying to get a metro get together lined up?  Lets take ideas on where and when.

St. Coirx is producing.  Go after a mixed bag of crappies, eyes, saugers, an occasional white bass and catfish thrown in for good measure?

I'mopen for anywhere, especially when the kids are involved.  If the kids aren't catching anything, then it isn't successful!

I'm in. I'd maybe suggest green. Never hardwater fished green but always caught crappies and walleyes in the summer.

linwood is another suggestion in that area.  Lots of crapie and sunnies.  Have to pick through for keepers, but fun fothe kids anyway.

that's why we should go with a lake like linwood, chisago, etc.

Sounds good to me. Any later than early february and the MRS. might be a little to pregnant to tag along.

Both Linwood and Green are great places for kids to catch panfish. Having fished both in the last couple of weeks, I would recommend green. If you fish just off the bottom with Eurolarva you will get a ton of sunfish, lots of small ones with some decent ones mixed in. Best bet is if you have camera's, you can go down and see a ton and watch them take the bait, best video game ever! You can also site fish this area. I was in 5 FOW and you can see your jig the whole way down and watch the fish take it. Also good chance at pike with tipups. With the camera I would see a decent one come through every so often. I won't give an exact location but if someone wants to PM me I'll give it to you as it's to get kids into fish.
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.
