We had some excellent fishing this past week.  It improved as the week went on and there were at least 3 Walleyes over 30 inches caught yesterday.  We continue to move houses around the lake and found that right now 35-36 feet has produced great action and nice quality size keepers.

We are starting to see more bait fish coming through the Vexilars, which gives anglers great opportunities to catch more fish.

Still no hot bait to report, and again we are seeing many suspended fish being caught and the frozen shiners are working well.  I have heard that the Buckshot Rattle Spoon’s are working well.  Many anglers are using them while constantly jigging and having one dead stick.

The Burbot must be spawning a little later this year.  We are starting to see the males with their bellies rubbed raw, it must be from making spawning beds.

We still have availability for this winter and are taking reservation.  How about a Valentines weekend on the lake?
