I got a question.. and hope someone here can help. neighbor has a female chocolate lab they were trying to breed with their cousins male black lab who is younger than the female chocolate. will having a younger male that's never done "it" before cause the issue? they're giving up and are going to fix the female now thinking that it's all her. the reason for the breeding was they both want another dog and like the ones they have. any ideas?

Just a short thought from me....
Let them keep trying to get the dogs to mate.
 Timing is everything.

I'm not sure if the word "timing" will be understood, but I was trying to keep things "clean".
Maybe I should have said more about the Dame(B***h) being in "heat" & that is a big part of the "timing".
Too early, or too late... "no go", would be the usual result. Another thing to keep in mind is that if the Dame is in heat, & if more than one male is allowed to breed. there is the possibility that there will be more than one "Sire" to the pups that result form the breeding process. Not all ova/eggs will always be fertilized by just one set of the Sire's "contribution".

I guess that is "Enuff said" by me...

Hopefullly "polite" enough.

Tell him to play some nice, romantic music, place some candles around the dog bowl, and remember not to rush through it.

Thanks for all the suggestions.  I also taped a picture of her up inside his dog house.  She is a cutie he told me.

Well the owner of the female brought her over today.  All she did was tease.  Going to try again tomorrow.
