I thought this was an outdoor website and not a political website?  How about we focus on fishing/hunting/trapping/etc posts and less on the political posts?  I realize we're in somewhat of a transition right now with many gamefish closing, but lets stay focused on the outdoors.  If you want to get into a political discussion, go to a political forum.

I agree more outdoor talk is good, but I assume the political section is there for a reason other than just for looks.

I agree that the political board is there for a reason, but we as a site should focus more on fishing reports and less on what the dems or republicans are doing.

I agree with BiggA.  If politics aren't your thing don't read it.  We have a good moderator there let him do his job.  I also know that if you have a political section most of the politics stay there and can be moderated easily.  Other outdoor websites that don't have a specific sections end up with political posts all over.  No matter what, politics always seems to find it's way into the discussions.  At least now you know where you going to find them.  I even hate to mention FM (because it stinks over there), but they tried to keep in out and it just made it's way into the general discussion.  I haven't been over there in so long but if I remember right they pretty much gave up.

no one moderator is listed to the political board, so any and all mods are "the moderator" for the political board.

To be honest, I like the political thread. This is really the only place where I ever talk politics. It gets pretty hot in there sometimes, but thats just the nature of politics right?

I too like the political forums.  It gives MNO more diversity, more to offer.  I look at it this way-the more we can offer MNO members, the better off MNO will be!  It's like tv, there's a show on you don't like-you don't watch it.  Same thing here-don't like politics, don't post in it.  Seems pretty simple to me.   :whistling:

And to make you happy Kingfisher-I posted an outdoorsy (non political) thing for you.

I love talking outdoors, fishing and Hunting. But, I really love the political thread and keep it there. It's nice to have a place to go and vent about all the shizel going on in the world. If you don't like to talk politics, don't do down there. I agree with Woody's post.

I thank MNO for having that thread.

Besides, it's  :USA:, you gotta have somewhere to piss and moan.  :whistling:

While I agree having a political forum is nice to have on the site, it shouldn't be the place where we mostly post in.  Ther are a few in here that primarily post in just the political forum.  If you want to post just political stuff, a few would agree this isn't the website.
