Has anyone ever used this stuff. I've been tempted but I end up just getting the salt licks like deer cocaine. But have any of you used the rack grower stuff like vita rack or any of that and actually seen a increase in size of the racks? We do food plots and before we had them all 1 1/2 year olds were all spikes or forks but since then it's very very rare to see a spike. They're all 4pt-8pt baskets so I'm a believer in food plots but not the minerals yet. Maybe you guys could change my mind, agree with me or just confuse me further ;D
Let the small bucks walk. Don't assume the neighbors will shoot them if you don't. If you shoot him what chance does that buck have to grow......ZERO!

All depends on what kind of natural minerals you have in the soil. I put out some to help hold them on the property also. If they like it or need it they will lick it. I've been putting out those rock minerals and they love them.

Similar to what hunter said. I too use some minerals and different licks. I use them mainly for the fact that most land will have a mineral deficiency of some sort. As far as whitetails are concerned. I for one do not expect great antler growth from them I only expect them to stay a little closer to home. If you go to a feed mill you can ask what they recommend for your area        (they know the local farmers and the ground) and it will be cheaper than a large sporting good store.

With all of that said, I will tell you the one thing I know for sure. Trying minerals will not hurt

Check out buckislandoutfitters.com  They make ohdeer mineral.  They are based right out of Anoka Minnesota and do all of there testing in Minnesota.

All I know is the deer love it and keep coming which makes for great trail camera photos.

Have fun!

I'm pretty sure it won't them any.  We typically maintain 7 mineral/salt licks on our hunting land.  Just today we put out mineral and salt blocks.  We also put out a couple bags of granular minerals on a couple spots.  Lots of deer sign near the established licks.
